The City of Nizams raised its curtains on the eagerly awaited grand finale of the prestigious beauty pageant Pantaloons Femina Miss India South (PFMIS) 2010 amidst much fanfare. The announcement of the winners came amidst a glittering star-studded ceremony at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre.
Of the 11 stunning beauties who made it to the finale, Nicole Faria from Bangalore was crowned the winner of the PFMI South 2010 and Krithika Babu from Bangalore and Pooja Hegde from Mangalore were crowned the first and second runners-up respectively. The winner gets a direct entry in the top 10 of PFMI 2010. To the question if she would choose between career or family Nicole’s winning answer was that her goal “is to reach out to more people”, so her career is “top priority at the moment”, but she also said that her priority would shift to her “family later in life”.
Keeping with the tradition, the winners were crowned by Zara Shah, PFMIS '09
s e c o n d runner-up, Ragini Dwivedi, PFMIS ‘09 first runnerup and Faith Pa n d e y, Pantaloons Fe m i n a Miss India South ‘09. All three beauties were dressed in stunning gowns by Shravan Kumar.
The esteemed panel of judges who evaluated the 11 lovely finalists comprised former Miss World Diana Hayden, actors Jagapathi Babu, Hansika Motwani and Ileana, cricketer Mithali Raj, designer Rehane Yavar Dhala and Head of NIFT , Hyderabad, Malini D.
The gala evening started with the contestants walking the ramp in spectacular creations by Pantaloons. The PFMIS 2010 finale collection from Pantaloons was created keeping in mind the current season of celebration, joy and indulgence. The most beautiful women from South India walked the ramp in the Pantaloons collection which complemented and completed their look.

Rehane presented the second round with her utterly feminine collection Grushenker, Spring /Summer 2010 . Shravan Kumar presented an extraordinary collection for the third round, called the Ingebore Exotica which had a series of traditional Indian sarees, with a flavour of exotic wildness.
This grand event witnessed some of the most breathtaking performances by southern stars
Vedhika, Meeranandan, Poonam Kaur, Poonam Bajwa, Kamna Jethmalani, Nikita and Bindu Madhavi which had the audience asking for more.
The contestant choreography for the show was done by Marc Robinson (Fashion Director & Contestant Director). The magnificent performances were choreographed by Dileef Johnson and the show was hosted by Parvathy Omannakuttan and Siddharth Kanan. The event was put together and managed by 360 Degrees Experience.
Speaking on the occasion, Marc said, “Over the years Indian fashion and beauty has evolved dramatically and most of our ex-Femina Miss Indias are sought after globally. Femina Miss India is a lethal cocktail of beauty and brains. We are extremely delighted with the tremendous enthusiasm we received for the completion of the third PFMIS. Amidst the close competition the three girls who were successful in impressing the judges with their beauty and brains were declared the ultimate winners. I’d like to congratulate each of the winners for whom the journey has just commenced and wish them the very best in life!”

Apart from the names of pageant winners, the names of sub-title winners were also announced.
